What is the purpose?
The Reviving Hope program serves as an information clearinghouse regarding cancer. Reviving Hope will garner resources to educate and support Independence School District employees and their families regarding nutritional, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well as navigating the financial hurdles presented by cancer treatment. It can provide light house cleaning, yard work, a fitness program, discussion topics for individuals or groups, healthy cooking classes, transportation, oil changes, individual or family counseling, and/or relaxation body massage.
Reviving Hope Mansion is designed as the home headquarters for the Independence School District’s cancer outreach program, which is designed to support employees, retirees and their immediate family as they face a cancer diagnosis.
The Mansion also serves as a “home-away-from-home” for out-of-town friends and family members who travel to Independence in support of their loved ones in their battle with cancer.
The main floor offers a living area with sunroom, kitchen with hearth room, dining room, master bedroom with master bath, and a laundry room with a half bath. On the upper level the home provides three private bedrooms with a shared full bath. The lower area affords an open room with living area, three beds, a kitchenette including a dinette, full bath, and recreational area for children.
